Intermediary Bank Fees

Overview

Some international wire transfers pass through intermediary banks before reaching the destination bank. These intermediary banks may deduct their own fees from the transfer amount.

How It Works

When a transfer is routed internationally, it may pass through one or more intermediary banks. Each intermediary bank may charge a small fee, which is deducted from the transfer amount before it reaches the final destination.

These fees are outside of LiquidTrust's control and are determined by the intermediary banks involved in the transfer.

Notes

  • Intermediary bank fees are more common with international wire transfers.
  • The exact fee amount is not known in advance because it depends on the banks involved in routing the transfer.
  • ACH transfers (US only) do not involve intermediary banks.
