Exchange Rates

Overview

When a payout is sent to a bank account that uses a currency other than USD, an exchange rate is applied to convert the funds.

How It Works

The exchange rate is displayed in the transfer quote before you confirm a payout. The quote shows the transfer amount in USD, the exchange rate, and the amount the recipient will receive in their local currency.

LiquidTrust's exchange rates are based on actual market conditions and the cost of currency conversion through our banking and payment partners. You may notice this rate differs slightly from the "mid-market" rate shown on sites like Google or Reuters — this is normal. The mid-market rate is a theoretical benchmark that does not include conversion costs. LiquidTrust's rate reflects the real cost of the transaction.

Notes

  • Exchange rates are determined at the time of the transfer.
  • The rate shown in the quote is the rate that will be applied.
  • Exchange rates only apply to payouts sent to non-USD bank accounts.
