Managing Simple Pay Transactions
Overview
Once a Simple Pay is created, both the sender and the recipient can take actions on it depending on its current status.
When You Would Use This
You have an active Simple Pay transaction and need to take action — such as accepting, approving, paying, or reviewing it.
How It Works
Simple Pay transactions appear on your Dashboard (in the To-Do section) and on the Transactions page. You can click any transaction to view its details and available actions.
Available Actions
| Action | Who Can Do It | When Available |
|---|---|---|
| Accept | Recipient | When you receive a payment invitation |
| Reject | Recipient or Payer | When a payment invitation is pending |
| Approve | Assigned manager | When the payment requires approval |
| Pay Now | Payer | When the payment is ready to be funded |
| Pay without Approval | Admin | When the payment is awaiting approval (bypasses the approver) |
| Initiate Payout | Payee | When funds are available for payout |
| Edit | Creator | While the payment is in Draft |
| Duplicate | Any party | At any time — creates a copy with the same details so you can quickly send a similar payment |
| Delete | Creator | While the payment is in Draft |
What Happens Next
After taking an action, the transaction status will update and the other party will be notified. See Simple Pay Statuses for the full list of statuses.
Notes
- All actions require confirmation before they are processed.
- Rejecting a payment requires entering a reason.
- You can view the full transaction details including payment method, timeline, and approval history from the transaction detail page.
